a public appearance

The very fabulous Bookshop Band launch their new album That Ghost Belongs To Me - featuring cover artwork, ukulele-playing (deftly edited into competency) and a reading from Thirteen Chairs by me - on Wednesday October 19th. To mark the occasion there will be a party/performance/event at Foyles bookshop in smelly London, featuring the band playing in their usual brilliant fashion, and with proper writers Kate Mosse and William Fiennes, and me attending and chipping in along the way. (I'm not being vague about what we're all doing as an attempt to seem mysterious, it's just that I don't know yet. Ask me again when it's all over). I am confident, despite my own involvement, that it will be bloody marvellous and so I urge you to attend (and say hello if you've a mind to).

I daresay there will be albums and books on sale too. And I shall bring along a pen or two in case anyone wants me to write or draw on anything. See poster above for how to get tickets. Then get tickets!

See you there.
